Very much a destination suitable for holidaying all around the year, Mykonos offers everything that most tourists could possibly want when it comes to its climate. Sunny weather is plentiful, and Mykonos is infrequent and rarely stays for long, although an occasional thunderstorm can be expected from time to time.

From June and August, the Mykonos climate is reliably at its hottest and temperatures stay anywhere between 28°C / 82°F and 30°C / 86°F, although the mercury in the thermometer is known to rise much high when the weather is especially sunny, although the odd strong wind can have a rapid cooling effect. The summer nights are warm, but not usually uncomfortable.

Most seasons are hard to distinguish and any changes in the monthly climate are quite subtle. The coolest weather falls between December and February, although by day, temperatures usually hang around 13°C / 55°F or thereabouts. By night, Mykonos often feels chilly during this winter period and frosts are not out of the ordinary.

Both February and March soon begin to show signs that the summer climate is not far around the corner and although these months are recorded as being the wettest on the island Mykonos, they are very much outweighed by sunshine. The amount of sunny weather seems to increase week by week, until by May and June, it is often sunny from morning until sunset, resulting in some very happy holidaymakers.
